Izumi Tanaka is an award winning talented creative professional with extensive experiences in television and documentary production. Being a Japanese native, she has worked with numerous projects originating both in Japan and in the U.S. bringing language and cultural expertise in the creative as well as business world.
Being around Izumi is like being near a gentle stream just as her name "izumi" means in Japanese ("spring water" or "well spring"). She influences and inspires you to be calm and unhurried while getting things done. Despite having many achievements, she doesn't strike you as someone who only cares about the goal. She's a great listener who values meaningful discussions in order to reach a common goal. Her ideas are expressed in a gentle manner as can be seen through her photography and written words.
Izumi first learned photography in 1980 with her father's Nikon F black body. After working in the media and business for over 20 years, she discovered a renewed passion for her photography and now shoots almost full-time and immensely enjoys it.
